Just a Few Updated Pictures
Thought it was about time to get some updated pictures from around the farm. The snow is starting to melt, as you can see, and it was a beautiful day and a good day to try some new pictures.

The girls are “trained” to the words “Chickie Birds”. When you are standing outside, if you say that, they come running to where ever you are. That is what we say when they are going to get fed something besides layer mash. Only this time, Shari fooled them by not feeding, just wanted to get them all outside in one spot so she could take their pictures. Shame on you Shari.

Sweetie Pie (in background) and the Calf, Buttercup. Buttercup is growing like a weed but still cute as a button. She looks more and more like a Hereford everyday, more so than her mom.

Isn’t she just about the cutest? Don’t pay any attention to mom in the background. She is camera shy and that is not her best angle.

In this picture you will find, Ammy, Morino, Stormy, Caroline, Princess, (the real dark one), Mouton, and Buela. Buela is the matriarc of the group and mom to the 4 grayish ones. The 2 white and one black are the ones born last spring. Just don’t ask who belongs to whom, I can only tell you that one of the white ones, is Stormy and was the bummer that we put with the mom that lost her 3 prior to birth. Mouton is the other white one, then Princess, the black one. I might add that all the girls here are pregnant. Due to start lambing about the middle of March.

Here are our two girls. Neechie in the front and Dakota in the rear. These pictures were taken right after feeding time and they are still happily munching away. Maybe you can see how dirty Neechie is. They love to roll in the muck.

Dusty in all his glory. Eating! And not in the proper stall. But that is ok, the Girls are outside on the “Patio” eating what he left, so all is good.

As you can see here, the snow is starting to melt. All that brown gets smooshie in the evening and requires the muck boots. This picture is taken looking North. The house is behind.

This is the front of house. It faces East. Shari is standing in the road to take this picture.
And there you have a quick run down of our little farm, in our little corner of the world. Welcome to SW Utah
